Worrying about the global situation...

Conflicts here and there...The race for the posts in leading parties... Internal fights... in my own country...Though I have no right to comment anything... I'm going to express my concern on the recent global situation ...

Recent global economy crisis has been giving most countries around the world a wave of effect...Many are jobless in Taiwan... Citibank is going to have retrenchment of some or most of its workers... Christmas budgets are going down... (except the growing purchasing power of China's population of course)...Somalian pirates hijacking oil tanker and cargoes...

When I observed this situation, I feel that the world is turning topsy - turvy... Why do all these happen... Too much mishappenings around the world... Even now, as I flip through the daily newspapers...there is sure to be a report on war somewhere in some corner of the world... Why can we have peace after so many centuries worth of experience?

Where is the peace we yearned for? or it will remain a mere dream...?
Praying for the peace of the global society...

Even after so many centuries of fights, struggles and wiping out civilizations, there is this genetic thing inside us humans which tends make some of us think we deserve to rule the world/ deserve to have all the money and some crazy things like that which makes ppl act barbaric even till today regardless of their education or upbringing!

Yes, but all we can do is blog our unsatisfactions. Bloggers are limited in their power to change reality unless the blog is written by a politician or an opposition party of a certain goverment. Anyway, we can still do our part by spreading awareness to those blog viewers...Love all, serve all!

Well, why would you think world leaders would rally for world peace? the whole problem with most of the world is the set of leaders who've gone mad with power and ambition right? opposition parties.. yes they write, but once you put them into power, you'll probably notice they're not much better than the set of ppl who just left! sad state the world is in. It's time for a revolution. you know, bring back the 70's and the "Make love, not war" era. although ppl were high on narcotics, they were fighting for the right cause (with the wrong weapons).
Heh, sometimes all this makes me think if your frustration, and also mine, about all these issues will really matter since we both have very small voices! :( correct me if i'm wrong. I'm looking forward to a reply to this comment from you!

Sorry, I overlooked your reply. Yes, I admit that the leaders of yesteryears are far more rational than today's leaders. Some like Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln are really fighting for the rights of the people and not their own selfish means. But still, there are several politicians who had made the wrong moves which cause sufferings in their own country. Today only a few leaders learn from the past. They had tried to look forward without referring to the past. At the end of the day, none of the lessons are learnt. We can witness from some of the current issues that history had repeated itself over and over again. That's the saddest part of all. There are more rages and anger in mankinnd than ever before. At least our blog viewers might take some time to thinnk about it as we connstantly remind them. There is still hope as there are several minorities out there who continues to promote peace. As long as we persist, there is still hope for a better world tomorrow.
