B po and I

Steamboat and terpanyaki in Kelantan. The younger group ate at the balcony upstairs. That's us... My lot of cousins...

At Pui Jiun's house for steamboat
It has been a very busy week...not staring at the books of course...It's New Year, I've been to Kelantan for the first three days, enjoying, eating, watching TV,window shopping, sleeping late...All those things that I can't do during my schooling days...
Then after coming back from my relatives house...It's time for reunion with friends... Went out twice with them...What a pity as I wasn't in time to meet Fang Yin... She went back to matriculation college on the second day of Chinese new year... Hardworking girl... Hope she'll get what she aims for.
Went to my cousin's house yesterday...Met the baby...Cute little Yan Xin...I hope she'll use the present I've given her... Had dinner there also... Most of my maternal side relatives were there...
Too bad I'm going back tonight... *Sigh* It has been a wonderful week...

The first main course -vegetarian lok san

Si Ting and I

Yen Jie n I

those from IPTI who volunteer for this event (from the left: SiTing, Yen Jie, Mei Jiun, me*, Sim. Bottom: Mei Yun and Chia Wei)
We went to do some social services at Chi Ji. Helping them to cater food during the charity dinner. Many came including the old folks and those who are disabled. Patience was tested we we had to standby with the food on our hands... There were 8 courses...I feel happy when every morsel were scrapped up, and those which were returned were empty dish and plates. Everyone is not allowed to waste food. The dinner started early that day. It ended at 7pm...We were treated to the same vegetarian dishes that we had served. It was a very meaningful event... I hope to be more involved in these meaningful events in the future...
Nice uniform right? First time wearing a complete set of apron and scarf... Just like the cooks...LOL...
Going home today...Yeah! Happy Chinese New Year everyone!^^

Stereotypical perception...

I have to make a clear statement that though I'm taking up an English course, it doesn't make me a 'banana'... I do pick up my own mother tongue too... Most seem to think that preference for an English course indicates that you mastered only that particular language and not the others.

Most English speakers are multi linguists though it doesn't show on their faces. The perception of others towards us (the kind of people like me) does seem to stuck fast on us.

Gracious, the line is slow, but I can still scribble something in here... Luck...^^

The little ball...

There rolls the ball,
a little ball,
insignificant,
stained with mud and dust,
unable to stop till it is blocked,
somewhere,
the lowest of seas,
the highest of crude,
down beneath, It'll lie...
til the day where there is not a minute,
nor a second,
when red dwarfs turn white...

Feeling the glum of silvery night...
Where nightingales swim in the currents of tide...

The first week...

The first week of school had just passed by...There were new subjects such as english support and moral. It seems that the some of the seniors had failed their final exam last semester. What a nightmare it must be for them. Dr John Hope came to our school last Friday, it turn out to be quite a surprise for us. He told us to work hard to qualify the entry to the U over the sea... Feeling nervous when I saw him but he is very cheerful. It was the seniors that he had actually wanted to see... We were mere juniors who do not even had our first exam yet...

There were new juniors coming in today (actually seniors though)...They are KPLI students, degree holders, this will be their last year in studying, then off they go to their working places... There was also a class from IPTHO who are going to start their degree program here... I had expected my Terengganu senior here with her class, but instead those who come were of different class... Get to know one of them already...most of them have to cram themselves into rooms which had already been occupied by two roommates... Maybe they'l get a room, the latest by May after the July intake 2008 KPLIs move out that time...

I'm having a very usual routine here....Nothing change much, lack of enthusiastic atmosphere... This week is going to be one lessonless week(most of the time I think)... Because we had to aid the process of their orientation in turns...

Wishing for the wireless to improve but I guess not...

The end of my long term break...

This will be my first post in the year 2009. (sure lar...swt!!) Happy to have stepped into 2009, but quite sad to leave my sweet home. No more frequent posts like what i've been doing last December... Less time would be spent online...

Not a very well spent holiday I must admit...I had missed the class gathering last night...(I'm very very sorry, I had to turn down the invitation to that BBQ countdown party)... I'm quite satisfied though, as I've met friends, went out several times, going to my very first mini concert (Yea, I haven't been to any concerts before)- just a couple of hours listening to Rynn Lim's songs and at the end got the chance to shake hands with him, thanks to Fefey who give me this opportunity...She's a great fan of his...^^

Feeling satisfied as my craving for all the local cuisine are fulfilled... Yam kuih, Radish kuih, Wa Tan Hor, wantan mee, claypot noodles, home-cooked foods, keropok (lekor and keping type), chocolate, ice cream, pisang goreng, ubi goreng... much more...

Workload coming... Exams coming... I wonder what is the condition of my room in Johor... My goodness I just couldn't imagine it... Returning...returning...returning... (sobs)...

P/S: won't be updating as frequently as I had did in Nov and Dec...
