A List to do....

The Deepavali holidays has started... Most of my schoolmates had gone home this very evening, some will be staying back just like me... There are 3 more assignments to complete... But still, as the holiday mood arouse in me, I had gone to play table tennis with my friends who do not return to their hometown for 3 hours today!!!(got to free my stress after a long week)

i was thinking, how am i going to spend these few days fruitfully... I guess these are the activities that I am going to carry out...

First day (Tomorrow):
  1. complete the draft for ES assign
  2. go to the library ( scrapping some informative books off the shelves)
  3. play tennis ( sweating - the best medicine for a healthy body)
  4. ....
  5. ....
  6. .... (just cant think about it yet)

Moving on to the second day.....

  1. type in ES assign. and re-check it
  2. go to the library (mind you i'm not a nerd, just that some information needed might not be found on the first day)
  3. start my SS assign. (I doubt that i can start on it, because the argument is quite tough to come up with)
  4. go makan makan perhaps... steamboat for lunch.... sushi for dinner??? (no money lar -_-!)
  5. treat myself to a movie of High School Musical 3 (Hmmm.... quite doubtful about it...)
  6. ....
  7. ....
  8. end my day with a good night sleep

Third day (It's getting tougher to plan..)

  1. start Recreational Sports reflective essay (maybe i'll complete just 2 for the first try)
  2. still crawling on the SS assign i assume
  3. revise or not to revise?
  4. ....
  5. ....

I've yet to plan for the fourth and five day...

Going window shopping? no!!

Going clubbing? never in my life!!!

Have a stroll at the seaside? perhaps...

chatting with friends until the wee hours? Hmm, quite a good idea duirng this holidays...

P/S: Hope that there are no distractions which will delay my plans...

We Dance....

Tzyy Wei n I
Jee Ying n I

TESOL chinese girls are all involved in this dance

Theva and I

The day before yesterday we had performed in the Deepavali function... I can not believe that I'm actually dancing the Indian dance....
Well, it started off one day when our Indian friends told us about the performance they were going to present during the deepavali celebration... They were quite desperate as there are only five Indians from our course...Then, Tzyy Wei said:" i want to join!...Let's join to help them!! "
(actually she was longing to wear the punjabi suit....)
That's how we got ourselves involve in it... I was dragged into it... We practiced very hard to get the steps right... (Chinese can't really dance like indian, do they?)...I'm actually quite forgetfull...but still with the help of Suya...I manage to get it right during the actual day of the performance...
On that day itself we were praised by Indian lecturers and other seniors as we danced quite well for a typical chinese....^^
I enjoyed myself very much.... Now it's time for me to get back to my assignments again... That's all for now....

Fire Drill...Very lame...

The day before yesterday, we had a fire drill session in the middle of the night...It was not a shock for me as I was still awake...My roommate really got the shock of her life...She was sleeping soundly when the siren rang...That made her jump high out of her bed, taking off her jacket (She couldn't recall why she was doing that)...She rushed to wear her long pants and together we 'run' out of the room...Other hostel dwellers were seen running to the staircase not because they were scared or feel panicked...They looked excited chatting away and shouting to each other as they decended the stairs...

My roomate and I were not rushing so much after rushing out to the corridor...I even went back to lock the door after walking half way towards the staircase...It's actually no big deal...

Half an hour's time was spent down stairs checking for any absent ones who were still in their rooms trapped deep in their dreams....I had a few bites from hungry mosquitoes at the carpark where we had gathered that night... I conclude this fire drilling practice does not reflect the actually situation when fire breaks out...Most of us even have time to answer the call of nature before 'escaping' from the hostel....

Merely 6 days is nothing to call a holiday...In fact, it's an assignment crazy week...But still i manage to finish most...Thus i'll go back with a lighter heart...though this course sometimes weigh me with loads of pressure, i feel much use to it now...Thank god...I just hope that I can pass my exam with flying colours so that i can go abroad...Hoping for the best...Life's great!!!!

Out - dated - updates...

posing at the lift at our apartment....

our actual performence on that day it self.... can't spot me because there are 2000 people up that stage at dawn....

Had a snap with trainee teachers from other Institute....

When we were traveling to KL without knowing what sufferings we had to go through just then...

During one of the practice sessions when we were to travel to Dataran Merdeka by bus for half an hour per session (not including the return trips from Dataran Merdeka)....

This is where we had to practice our flashcards...Its the actually location where we have to perform in front of our Prime Minister and other ministers...

Posing with our pom poms that we have to use during the performance...

We formed the "Koir Merdeka"

Our flashcards!!!! Spot these??

Well, actually, this photo was not taken at night... It was taken at 4.30am in the morning... on actually day of Merdeka celebration.... These are our outfits....Batik outfits...Damn hot....

Wow, I did not realise that I have not being updating my blog for such along time already.... These photos were snapped during this year's Merdeka celebration... Every institute from all over Malaysia had to send some representatives to participate in this important event... TESOL-ians in our school were one of the unlucky ones... (that's why we were there for 1 week to be trained...) Sadly, nobody can see our faces as we had to display the flashcards on Merdeka day...It was a very tedious practice....

We were required to wake up at 3 am to go to Dataran Merdeka for the flashcards practice.... There were 3 different practice sections 1 in the morning, afternoon and night respectively....It was really tiring....We endured the challenges that no others had experienced before... Imagine that we were soaked through one afternoon after practice when we had to run 2 km to reach our buses at Padang Merbok as the buses were not allowed to wait for us at Dataran Merdeka...Then we were trapped in the air - conditioned bus for an hour shivering from top to bottom before reaching our apartment.... Most of us were sick after that incident... But still we continued our practice no matter whether it was drizzling, or scorching hot....(mind u there were no shades over our heads).... My skin turned into a very black charcoal skin after ten days of sufferings during the practice...

But still, it would be an experience that I'll never forget for life....

Things about college life...

This is the DST Dewan Seri Temenggong..We have the weekly assembly here. See the logo up there? It's the school logo...(or whatever we call it)

Wow, this week's time is occupied by loads of homework and assignments...I'm just stealing half an hour's time to post something on my blog...Bad me...I'm quite sad to learn about the shortening of my August break because everyone in TESOL course is going to Kuala Lumpur for 10 days to have raptai for the Merdeka Day...We had to be back in Johor by 21st of Aug and are going to KL the next day....It's such a rush for me...

I seem to be having a bit of 'culture shock' here as we had to find every single information on the Internet and the resource centre to complete our assignments...The lecturers only brief us on it and just leave us to 'suffer'...But it is the process that teaches me to be independent and self-motivated...it's totally a different life from what i go through during my secondary school years...
The only minus point is the location of the resource center itself...I had to walk under scorching hot sun for at least 15 minutes(if i run) to reach it...It's near the hall which means it's more than 4km from my hostel too!XP

There were many activities planned for my TESOL course, we are going to Pulau Besar for an English Camp in October...there are much to catch up on studies then...Even now we are having night classes now and then...I have one tonight which starts at 8 and ends at 11pm!

Still I'm going outside the campus tomorrow to City Square to relax a bit after a long week...
